One Year Ago. One Year From Today?

It's been a year since we kicked off our campaign for the District 6 WCPSS Board of Education election. That was a special day. I'm so thankful to everyone that supported me and I've been working hard to represent our values on the school board.

I have to say... what I know now, compared to what I knew back then is night and day. I would guess that most candidates, and this includes me from last year, really don't understand all that the job entails. I certainly didn't think I'd immediately be hiring a new superintendent.

Over the next year I have a lot of issues I'll be pushing and I'll be updating my issues page accordingly. I'm happy with the work I've be able to get done, including issues I didn't think about while running the first time. There is a lot of work to be done. With that in mind, I'm thinking that next July we will have another campaign kickoff. Or maybe we will start a little early next time.
